In the spring, toads and frogs awaken from their hibernation. This happens under the influence of longer days and rising temperatures. Then the amphibians migrate from their wooded hibernation site and continue their journey to wetlands to deposit their eggs. To prevent many of these amphibians from being killed when crossing busy traffic roads, toad nets are placed along busy roads.

Our toad nets Quadra 135MTE are made of a knitted strap fabric. At the top of the net a row of buttonholes, so the net can easily be tensioned to a fastening thread. It also has a folding edge 19 cm from the bottom. This edge is folded over and leveled with the ground. The toads stay in this edge during their migration, they cannot jump or crawl over the net. In this way they are quickly and easily identified and placed safely on the other side of the road.

Once the toad migration is over, the net can easily be removed, folded and saved for the next toad migration.
